View ProfileWhat inspired you to specialize in spine care?
I was drawn to spine surgery because of the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a patient’s mobility, function, and overall quality of life. Spine conditions can affect nearly every aspect of a person’s day, and I enjoy helping patients identify the source of their symptoms and get back to the activities that matter most.
What conditions do you commonly treat?
I treat a wide range of conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, including degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, nerve compression, spinal deformities, fractures and traumatic injuries, as well as spinal tumors and infections.
Does seeing a spine surgeon mean I’ll need surgery?
Not at all. Whenever appropriate, I prioritize conservative treatments such as physical therapy, medications, activity modification, and targeted spinal injections. Surgery may be considered when nonsurgical treatments have not provided adequate relief or when a condition requires surgical intervention. My goal is always to recommend the most appropriate treatment for each individual patient.
What advanced techniques do you use when surgery is necessary?
When appropriate, I use minimally invasive and endoscopic surgical techniques designed to minimize disruption to surrounding tissues and support recovery. I also incorporate advanced technologies such as intraoperative navigation and robotic assistance when they can improve precision and help optimize surgical outcomes.
What can patients expect at their first appointment with you?
The first visit is about understanding the patient and their symptoms. We’ll discuss how the problem began, how it affects daily life, what treatments have already been tried, and what the patient hopes to accomplish. I’ll review imaging and perform an examination, then we’ll discuss the diagnosis and available treatment options together.
How do you approach each patient’s treatment plan?
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to spine care. I consider the patient’s diagnosis along with their lifestyle, occupation, activity level, and personal goals. My role is to help patients understand their condition and options so we can make treatment decisions together.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing several musical instruments, staying active through sports, and traveling.
